Congratulations on the successful production of ultra-low loss nanocrystalline cut iron cores for the company's 20kW and 50kW charging pile projects!

At the beginning of the year, our company collaborated with a well-known foreign enterprise in the charging pile industry to develop a CD type nanocrystalline cut iron core for use on 50KW EV charging piles. Mass deliveries have already begun in the second half of the year.

Here, we will mainly introduce the situation of using magnetic cores at that time, for reference by domestic charging pile design engineers, and exchange ideas with each other.

The power of this charging station project is P=50KW, and the working frequency of the transformer is f=15kHz I originally planned to use ferrite cores, but due to the low Bs of ferrite, the operating point B can only be selected as 0.2T, resulting in a large volume. Compared with nanocrystalline cores, the volume can be much smaller because the operating point of nanocrystals can be selected as B=0.4T or 0.5T, which can greatly reduce the volume. At the same time, in this frequency range, the heating loss of nanocrystalline cores is also very small, Ps<12W/kg @15kHz, 0.4T;  Ps< 20W/kg @15kHz, 0.5T, The magnetic properties of the material are fully demonstrated. In addition, considering the high current, a CD type was chosen for the shape of the magnetic core and cut in half to facilitate winding and installation.
