The conference is co organized by Yancheng Institute of Technology, Amorphous China Big Data Center, Amorphous Alloy Materials Application Branch of China Electrical Equipment Industry Association, and National Precision Micro and Special Motor Engineering Technology Research Center (Linquan Motor).

At the seminar, 13 experts including Academician Wang Huaming from Nanjing University, Academician Wang Huaming from Beihang University, Professor Yao Kefu from Tsinghua University, and Deputy Director Dai Zhengwen from GAC Aion New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd. gave excellent presentations.

Academician Wang Huaming delivers a keynote speech

In recent years, the industrialization of amorphous motors in China has been accelerating, and market demand for new energy and industries has driven the development of the entire amorphous motor industry chain. According to information from the Secretariat of the Amorphous Alloy Branch of the China Electric Power Association, the demand for amorphous motors in various related fields has exceeded 1.1 million units (sets) this year. Amorphous motors have demonstrated disruptive advantages in industries such as new energy vehicles, high computing power, and low altitude economy, and have received high attention from the industry. However, they also face some technical difficulties and development pain points, which require collaboration and cooperation between academia, the business community, and relevant departments to jointly promote the formation of an amorphous motor industry ecosystem and high starting point development.

One generation of materials and one generation of equipment. Academicians have introduced the revolutionary development of magnetic materials and motors in the electrical era, and proposed the development and application of various soft magnetic materials such as amorphous alloys. In the future 5G/6G era, more high-performance and intelligent motors are needed, and the development of the high-frequency motor industry is forecasted. Academician Wang Huaming is an authoritative figure in metal 3D printing in China and the world's first expert in the engineering application of metal 3D printing. He introduced that his team is engaged in efficient and low-cost 3D printing work, hoping to have more exposure to amorphous alloy soft magnetic materials through seminars, carry out interdisciplinary integration, and try to 3D print efficient, energy-saving, and low-cost amorphous motor cores. Professor Yao Kefu from Tsinghua University has brought about the research and development progress of amorphous motors, as well as the development prospects and opportunities of amorphous motors. With the development of high-tech industries such as new energy vehicles, drones, robots, and aerospace, the application of efficient amorphous motors presents both challenges and opportunities, but there are even more opportunities.

In recent years, the low altitude economy and flying cars have paid high attention to amorphous motors, driving the development of this industry into the fast lane. Professor Zhang Xinyu from Tsinghua University shared the latest practice of the team's intelligent aircraft and car design through his outlook on future urban transportation vehicles. Among them, amorphous power motors are a powerful guarantee for the efficient range of flying cars. Director He Kunyao of Taiwan Dongyuan Electric Machinery Comprehensive Research Institute brings the application of amorphous materials in unmanned aerial vehicles and high-speed motors. In 2023, Dongyuan Electric Machinery System has added amorphous material verification, and in the future, further verification and evaluation will be conducted to broaden the application field of amorphous motors in higher frequency drive control. The Deputy Director of GAC Aiandi's main text talked about three types of noise reduction structures for amorphous motors, and looked forward to strengthening cooperation in the industry to develop soft magnetic materials with high saturation magnetic induction and low coercivity, as well as multi-layer composite amorphous strips and processing technology.

Professor Cao Junci, Director of the Institute of Electrical Engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University, introduced the second-generation amorphous motor developed by the team, which has significantly improved efficiency compared to the first generation. In the future, efforts will be made to further improve the operating efficiency of amorphous motors at low speeds and high torque.

At the meeting, Liao Yuefeng, General Manager of Changzhou Haike New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Pei Ruilin, Chairman of Suzhou Yingci New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and Xi Weimin, General Manager of Dongguan Hongyu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., made prospects for the processing and production of amorphous stator cores and amorphous motors, and put forward their unique opinions and views. With the joint efforts of the entire amorphous alloy industry, amorphous materials can effectively solve the main contradiction of high-speed iron loss in motors at high speeds, and broaden new ideas for the research and development of high-speed motors. Dr. Miao Dongmin also shared Schaeffler Industry 4.0.
Finally, the head of the Amorphous Alloy Materials Application Branch of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association elaborated on the main directions of industry university research cooperation in amorphous motors, hoping to achieve win-win cooperation through resource sharing, talent introduction, technology exchange, and other means, and jointly promote the development of amorphous motor related fields.
